Please note that our Makerspace won’t be open on Tuesday 25th August, or Tuesday 1st September until 1:30pm, due to staff training.

Unfortunately, our Makerspace will not be open on Saturday 29th August due to staff shortages.

Join a community of creatives in our Makerspace

The Makerspace is a free space with open resources and equipment to be creative. Everyone can use the Makerspace as it is open to all experience levels.

We have sewing machines, clay tools, origami paper and wool in nearly every colour!

It’s time to join the community of creatives.

Opening Times*
Every Tuesday: 10.00 – 16.30
Every Thursday: 13.00 – 16.30
Last Saturday of the month: 10.00 – 15.00

Every One Every Day, Mercat Shopping Centre, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1NU.

* The Makerspace is often open outwith these times. On Tuesdays, Thursday afternoons and the last Saturday of the month there will be residents who can help you if needed.

Happening in the Makerspace

You Can Make It

  • You Can Make It is an invitation for everyone to come into the Makerspace and try something new this year.
  • Opening Times: Tuesdays (10.00-16.30), Thursdays (13.00-16.30) and last Saturday of the month (10.00-15.00).
  • Location: Every One Every Day, Mercat Shopping Centre, Kirkcaldy.

Makerspace Ideas Meeting

  • In Makerspace Ideas Meetings you can discuss what practical things/resources you think your Makerspace needs and create and share ideas together, such as skill sharing and collaborative projects.
  • When: Monthly, 2-3pm.

Happening in the Makerspace

Diamond Art Group

  • Diamond Art is like paint by numbers with small resin rhinestones. We meet casually in our Makerspace for one hour to craft together. We have advanced and beginner projects. You can also bring your own Diamond Art. The group is about sharing the love of Diamond Art and meeting new people.
  • When: Second Thursday of the month, 3-4pm.
